Meet Our Staff Members
My philosophy is best summed up by a quote attributed to John Wesley (1703-1791):
“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.”
Founder & Clinic Director, LCSW, CSAT, CPTT, CMAT
First & Foremost: I would like to welcome you to my practice, Daniels Psychotherapy, and introduce myself. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over a decade of counseling experience. I understanding that selecting a therapist can be just as challenging as deciding to enter into treatment. Therefore, this is my pledge to you: I will welcome you into treatment with compassion, professional competence, and a sincere sensitivity to the specific circumstances motivating you to seek therapy at this time.
I believe that self-discovery and healing can be achieved through connection. I am deeply committed to providing the best care possible to individuals and couples who are experiencing psychological pain and are seeking support and treatment for the following conditions: sex addiction, porn addiction, infidelity, intimacy-related issues, sexual dysfunctions, and betrayal trauma.
“Psychotherapy, while deeply personal, has universal impacts. It not only helps in the individual's healing but, by extension, enriches their interactions with the world around them.”
I utilize multiple therapeutic evidence-based approaches including: psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, foundational addiction recovery premises, and existential principles. You can expect sessions with me to be interactive, catered to your specific needs, and above all else, sessions will always be a place of safety where your individuality will be valued and respected. It is my hope to foster a relationship with you that helps you attain freedom from problematic sexual behaviors, gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and rebuild meaning into your life.

Certified Addiction Recovery Coach, CARC
David is a Certified Addiction Recovery Coach. He considers this certification of great value in his work with clients. David also draws heavily on what backs this training - his 34 years of continuous sobriety and recovery.
When asked to describe the different roles sobriety and recovery have played in his life, David answered this way:
"Sobriety gives me the chance to recover. Recovery gives me the chance to stay sober. When put together, I get a chance at life and the pride of fighting for it."
David credits all who walk through the doors of recovery no matter the path their efforts take, he claims to have learned just as much from the precious examples of those who struggle, or even fail as from those who seem to succeed with ease.
"In 1991, my early days of sobriety, I used to say I was starting with zero; no job, no home, no skills, no prospects. I soon learned I was wrong, I was not starting with zero. I was starting with many possessions including all the damage inflicted on me, the trail of wreckage I inflicted on myself and the many wounds I caused to others. But I had something new: Help. I also still had myself and I was going to have to learn how to rely on both.
David explains that he brings his experience, including those of his early days, into the room with every client.
"Remembering my own experiences often requires I be gentle with myself, which in turn places us, myself and my client, within a judgment free space with compassion at the core. This is the environment a client can expect when we meet. I too benefit from the grace of this environment and if we are both willing to honestly confront the ugliness of addiction, the habit of self-judgement dissolves into the air leaving us in a place of understanding; which then opens the door to the promise of discovering solutions together.”
Recovery is possible.
My philosophy comes from a quote by William Shakespeare; which I discovered on the coin I received to mark my 1st year anniversary in a 12-step recovery program 34 years ago.
“To thine own self be true.”
Get to Know Our Values
Acceptance
Acceptance is one of our most essential human needs. We believe that having a trusted person on your side does all the difference on your road toward change. In order for us to become your trusted person, we need you to know that you are accepted for who you are here. We encourage acceptance and we practice acceptance. You are welcome here.
Intimacy
Intimacy is all about being willing to show yourself as you are and have that be alright. The very act of intimacy requires that you take a risk and be vulnerable - it requires courage. We believe that it has taken courage for you to be searching for help. We vow to respond to that courage with positive regard, encouragement, and consistency.
Storytelling
As you browse through our website, you will notice imagery of people; particularly people writing, reading, and painting. This imagery symbolizes one of our most important values - storytelling. We believe that storytelling is at the heart of psychotherapy. It is a powerful act and a healing tool to have your story heard and understood. We look forward to hearing it, and helping you write the next chapters together.
Healthy Sexuality
Recovery from sexual behaviors does not equate to sexual deprivation. We know that sexuality contributes to an overwhelming satisfaction in one’s life. We are not here to eliminate sexuality from your life, but rather, to help you stop the sexual behaviors negatively impacting your life, and then help you develop healthy sexuality that includes choice, agency, and self-worth.
Learning
The more information we learn about ourselves, the less complicated things become. Learning is not a line that you cross, but a pathway that you continuously walk on. We are here to help you build a foundation of knowledge that helps you understand where you came from, who you are, and what you desire from life. We are here to teach and learn alongside you.
Collaboration
Psychotherapy thrives on collaboration. Beyond all else, the most important component of psychotherapy is the relationship between therapist and client. We may have the years of education and licensure. You, however, have lived your life all these years. Together, we will join forces and get where you want to be.

We provide a variety of clinical services to meet your needs.
